Instagrid Portable Power

CW Plant Hire Invests in Instagrid Portable Power Units

CW Plant Hire has invested in more than 40 Instagrid portable power units, giving customers another option for quiet, fuel-free power on construction sites and at events.

The units have been supplied through Seddon Plant and Engineers, a long-standing supplier to CW Plant Hire. Following Seddon’s recommendation, our team trialled the equipment before adding the units to our hire fleet.

Paula Godfrey, Systems and Sales Development Trainer at CW Plant Hire, said in an interview with Instagrid: “We trialled a unit first, and the feedback was excellent.”

The investment responds to growing customer interest in portable battery power, particularly for work where access to a mains supply is limited or where noise and exhaust fumes need to be considered.

Growing Demand for Instagrid Portable Power

Before the investment, our events team was already familiar with Instagrid and had seen demand for the units among customers. They have since proved popular for event build and breakdown, with some customers hiring up to ten units to meet their power requirements across a site.

Instagrid units can be carried to where power is needed, giving teams flexibility as work moves between different areas. On a busy event site, placing a power source close to the job can also reduce the need for long cable runs.

The units are quiet in use and produce no exhaust fumes while operating, making them suitable for indoor and outdoor applications. For event teams working to tight schedules, this gives them a power source they can move as work progresses.

Portable Power for Construction Sites

Instagrid units can also support construction and maintenance work where a quiet, portable power supply is required. They can be used with compatible corded tools and equipment, helping contractors access power in locations where a mains connection is not readily available.

One customer approached our team looking for a way to power overnight floor screeding work. There was no mains supply available and a generator wasn’t an option. An Instagrid GO 110V unit supplied power for the lighting and equipment, allowing the work to continue through the night.

The right power supply will depend on the equipment being used and how long it needs to run. Our team can help customers assess their requirements before choosing a unit.

Instagrid Hire from CW Plant Hire

Our fleet includes the Instagrid GO 110V and the Instagrid ONE. Both are listed with a rated power output of 3.6kW and are available to hire from CW Plant Hire.

The Instagrid GO 110V has a rated battery capacity of 2.1kWh and weighs 21kg. Its portable design makes it an option for jobs where power needs to be moved around a site. Customers looking for Instagrid GO 110V hire can speak to our team about the equipment they need to power and the expected length of use.

For those considering portable power station hire, it’s important to check both the output and battery capacity against the demands of the job. The unit will also need to be recharged between uses.

Before arranging a hire, tell our team which tools you need to power, how long you expect to use them and where the work will take place. This helps us assess the supply against the demands of your job.

Supporting Customers with Instagrid Hire

Seddon and Instagrid have supported our teams with training on the equipment, including recharging, visual inspections and the units’ tracking features. Our sales team can also demonstrate the units to customers during site visits.

If you’re looking for battery power for events or portable power for a construction project, our team can talk through your requirements and help you choose a suitable option.
